Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Business Telecom Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications systems and networks for our business clients. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment and systems, including VoIP, and unified communication platforms.
- Conduct site surveys to assess installation needs and ensure proper placement of telecom equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to telecommunications systems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption for clients.
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to telecom systems to enhance performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the use of telecommunications equipment and software.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals and vendors to integrate telecom solutions with existing infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience as a Telecom Technician or in a similar technical role.
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunications systems, including VoIP, and unified communication platforms.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency in PC operations and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Pay Range – $45,000 to $60,000
