Santa’s Elves Get Techy
It’s that time of the year (well, let’s face it, it’s been that time since we took our Halloween lights down November 1): it’s time to shop! And while clever mugs, cozy slippers, and all the charcutier boards we can eat will still have a warm place in our holiday hearts, Santa’s elves have been working overtime on tech gifts that will blow your mind.
The top tech gifts coming out of Santa’s workshop:
- Smart glasses – The Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses are as cool and iconic as the original shades, but these have open-ear speakers and an ultra-wide camera as well as built-in AI, allowing you to use your field of vision just like you do your smartphone.
- Better skin – While the TheraFace Mask looks like a cross between Jason and a Stormtrooper, the skin it reveals after just a few weeks of use will be radiant, clear, and rejuvenated. A few minutes a day under the red, blue, and infrared light reduces fine lines and dark spots while providing a relaxing face and scalp massage. Yes, please.
- Better-than-delivery pizza – When you’ve burned the ham and have to sit outside while the smoke clears, the Ninja Woodfire Outdoor Pizza Oven will save the day! Like all Ninja products, this oven has multiple functions, so yes, it makes great pizza but it also smokes, roasts, bakes, broils, and dehydrates.
- Safety AND good comms – After you’ve eaten all that pizza, why not take a nice bike ride? The Sena R1 Smart Helmet is a top safety pick cycling helmet but also boasts built-in speakers (so you can hear your music AND the traffic around you) and a mic (so you can take calls or communicate with other up to three riders in your peloton).
- New tools for old hobbies – The holidays are the perfect time to take a ton of pictures and update your photo albums. The HP Sprocket Portable Photo Printer allows you to print photos straight from your phone. The 2×3” photos can be customized with frames and emojis and have a sticky back, making scrapbooking a snap! For just over $100 you get the camera and 20 photo sheets.
Once you’ve checked everyone’s tech off your list (and maybe given that red light mask and pizza oven a few weeks of “quality control”), treat yourself to a gift of a good old fashioned book. And if that’s too much of a shock to the system, there’s always an e-reader…
